Please join us for a Special Brew Day in honor of St Louis Craft Beer Week. During the brew day, we will offer a few mini-tech talks from questions asked most often in the store. If you do not want to sit through a tech talk, we will have worksheets printed out to take home.

The main event for STLCraft Beer Week Brew day! Come brew a batch with us on the Blichmann Brew Easy.  


BREWING SCIENCE / NEW TO BREWING | TBD

This mini-class is designed for new brewers and anyone wanting to brush up on their brewing. New brewers will find this class especially benificial, as it covers everything from descriptions and examples of equipment, extract brewing versus all grain brewing, beer chemistry, sanitization, fermentation and bottling.


BREWING WATER 101: BUILDING WATER FROM SCRATCH | TBD

Confused and drowning trying to prepare the perfect water for brewing? Come learn how to build your own brewing water from Distilled or Reverse Osmosis! In this seminar, you will learn the importance water plays in your mash chemistry and how to guarantee full conversion. You will also learn about the different salt additions, how they affect the final flavor of your beer, and go through a step-by-step process of building your own water profile!


READING YOUR MALT ANALYSIS | TBD

Ever wondered what all those words and numbers mean in a malt analysis sheet? Don at Design2Brew knows ALL about this stuff, and will help demystify this data during this session.


TAKE A LOOK AT YEAST | TBD

Explore the hidden world of your fermentations with this quick overview of some brewing microbiology with Josh and . Learn to use a microscope and hemocytometer to count the yeast cells in your pitch and run a quick viability test. We’ll finish up with a brief discussion about how and why to do yeast starters and can wort to multiply your yeast colony.


WHAT'S IN AN IBU | TBD
